Knowledge, care and real relationships
What makes this location stand out is not just what is on the shelves, it is the people behind the counter. As one of the longest standing pet stores in the Tri-Cities, the Uptown Dawg Poco team takes the time to truly know each customer, their pets and their needs. Families do not just shop here. They and their pets are known here.
That familiarity allows us to offer trusted advice, thoughtful recommendations and ongoing support that goes far beyond a typical retail experience.
More than a pet store
Yes, you will find premium pet food, supplies, accessories and trusted products for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and small animals. But what really defines this location is the experience. It is a place where:
- • Questions are welcomed
- • Advice is personal
- • Relationships matter
- • Pets are part of the conversation
- • Every visit feels familiar

Rescue partner
Proud partnership with Endless Pawsabilities
Coral, the owner and operator of Endless Pawsabilities, leads our Port Coquitlam store. For more than 10 years we have worked alongside this Lower Mainland rescue, helping dogs and cats find their way home. Every kitten in the Kitten Kuddle Room is adoptable through Endless Pawsabilities.
Port Coquitlam, our story
A community legacy, carried forward
In 2017, we had the incredible opportunity to take over a very special part of the Port Coquitlam community. For more than 25 years, the store stood as Prairie Pet Foods & Supplies, a beloved independent pet store built by a husband-and-wife team who worked side by side, pouring their hearts into the business.
Prairie Pet Foods became much more than a place to buy pet food. It became a familiar face in the community, a place where people knew you, pets were welcomed, and generations of local families came through the doors. When we took over, we knew we were being entrusted with a legacy.
Today, we are incredibly happy to have partnered with Coral and Endless Pawsabilities, who have taken over the Port Coquitlam store and continue the tradition of the same great service, care and community connection. We are proud to call Prairie Pet Foods, now Uptown Dawg Poco, our sister store.
While Uptown Dawg has always had a special focus on dogs, our Port Coquitlam sister store celebrates the whole pet family. And one of the most exciting new chapters is the Kitten Kuddle Room, home to kittens who are all looking for their forever families.
