Port Moody, our story
One girl, her mom, and a simple idea
Uptown Dawg started more than 20 years ago in Port Moody with one girl and her mom, and a simple idea: to create a safe, welcoming place where dogs could be cared for with the same love and intention we would want for our own.
What began with a small team grew into an Uptown Dawg family. Many of the dogs who walk through our doors have been coming since they were puppies, and we have had the privilege of welcoming their families' second and third generation dogs too.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all care. Our team takes the time to know each dog: their personality, their routines, their quirks, their favourite friends and their comfort level. That is what makes Port Moody feel different from the moment you walk in.
